TECHNICAL AND FAQ'S

Q   Can you paint in the wet?

A   No. Line marking needs the same conditions as you would paint the outside of your house.

Q   What is an A type?

A   An A type is a truck that paints the longitudinal lines.

Q   What is a B type?

A   A B type is a smaller machine that does the intersection and car park work.

Q   Why do you do work at night when I am trying to sleep?

A   Sometimes the roads are too busy or dangerous for the linemarking to be done within normal hours.

Q   How long does it take for the paint to dry?

A   It depends on the local conditions but generally between 10 and 20 minutes

Q   How long are the dots in the centre of the road?

A   The dots are 3 metres long and the gap is 7 metres

Q   What makes the lines shine at night?

A   Glass beads are applied to the painted line which reflect the light from the headlights.
